A light renovation for this apartment in the historic center: gray industrial resin on the floor, many house plants and an infinite number of wall graphics and works of art by the artist Power Notte, natural fiber carpet, spatulated concrete table. The sliding doors were designed by my studio like the LAMA SHELVES in the bedroom. The original large bathroom cabinet was made from an old agricultural tool This apartment has a particular meaning for me, in fact in 2012 its previous owners hired me to follow them in the first renovation of this apartment. It was one of my first important jobs and in which I was able to experiment with techniques and recover discarded objects, activities that I am still particularly passionate about today.
A few years later the clients called me again to renovate the bathroom on the lower floor and I proposed to them to transform an old agricultural tool into a bathroom cabinet by reusing every single part: the funnel as a lamp, other parts as towel shelves and roll holder. .. When I was also contacted by the current owner to follow the work he wanted to do on the house, I was very happy because this meant that I could continue to take care of that apartment that was so important to me, for the third time in a row! In fact, the apartment still contained many of the objects I designed that the old owners had not been able to bring into the new home due to space problems, namely: the "barn" type sliding panels, the Corten steel shelves in the bedroom designed by me to be perfectly integrated into the room and the bathroom furniture. My client wanted to change the floor, a single-fired faux Tuscan terracotta fitted with a huge gray joint... it was covered with a beautiful spatula-brushed industrial resin.
The colors used are all gray scales up to a very dark grey, almost black, with which we have completely renewed the scale. The before and after photos of the staircase are impressive: from cheap to super minimal just by replacing the parapet and using some microresin given by roller! The bathroom on the attic floor has been completely renovated thanks to spatula resin, again in a blackish gray color and with matching furniture: who said that in a small room with a tiny window you necessarily have to use light colours?
