Project year: 2023
Realization: 2023-2024

Customer Requests:
1-Keep the budget under control while completely renovating floors, walls and systems
2-Give personality to the property
3-Open the kitchen onto the living area
4-Keep the ribbed wooden and glass door in the hallway
5-Hide the door to the second bathroom

Project style: Japandi style revisited, a contemporary style, with oriental touches, Colors used: many pastel colors, aqua green for the kitchen, white, burgundy and navy blue in the bathrooms.
Materials used on the floor: heat-treated bamboo strand wooden parquet
Wall decorations/coverings: smooth resin, wall covering in the kitchen in multicolor terrazzo-effect ceramic, in the bathrooms super decorated and colored porcelain stoneware (kintsugi, terrazzo)

“Goodies” of the project:
1-The sliding panel designed by the studio which hides the access to the second bathroom and looks like a work of art
2-The furniture in the bathroom with tub, made to the studio's design with doors covered with the same tiles that were used on the walls
3-The three triangular handles of the washbasin cabinet are real jewels that involved not only the designer, but also a blacksmith and a ceramist artist, the decorations and colors of the handcrafted handles reflect the Kintsugi technique which also inspired the stoneware tiles used in the bathroom.
4-The red decorations on the walls of the large bathroom which are reminiscent of fiery suns
5-All doors made to our design in the carpentry shop with decoration engraved with a pantograph
6-The open compartments of the shelves next to the built-in pellet stove which match the colors of the wallpaper
The large apartment before the renovation was quite divided but had a narrow kitchen with two small doors: one on the entrance and the other on the living room. Through a structural modification we created a large opening which significantly expanded it, allowing us to insert a large peninsula which becomes a convenient snack top.

As usual, I proposed to my clients a kitchen with a snack top at a height of 90cm, i.e. the same as the worktop, so as not to create uncomfortable steps and extend the comfortable support surface in a more functional way. The kitchen occupies all 4 sides of the room and is in laminate as is the worktop. The windows and doors have all been replaced with new wooden frames with the exception of the one inside the shower in the small bathroom: that window is obviously made of PVC to prevent the water from frequent showers from damaging it! The towel warmers in the bathrooms have been painted; all the electrical and plumbing systems have been renewed and integrated and the coverings have all been replaced. The floor is a pre-finished, heat-treated bamboo parquet, extremely resistant to wear and humidity.

Note on colour: as you can see in this apartment the color was used without fear and above all the first proposals made to the Clients immediately met with great success so as to be created exactly as per the initial proposal. How is this possible? Because right from the start I fully understood the tastes and desires of my clients and I helped them to experience themselves and their colorful and lively personality as extremely sunny people.

FUN FACT, which makes me laugh now but at the time made me furious: when the painter painted the two-tone sliding panel in the bathroom he painted it with a paint that had been delivered to him in which the blue dye had not been inserted and therefore instead of blue and RAL9010 white the newly painted panel was optical white and 9010 white... unwatchable and obviously had to be repainted immediately! In addition to the beautiful project photos, you can see the photos of me with my clients in the gallery and read the wonderful review they wrote as feedback on my work. If you want to hear the interviews and see the videos of the project, you can follow me on the social networks on which I am most active (Instagram and Facebook for the moment).
