Customer Requests:
1-Keep the vintage spirit of the house unchanged by renovating floors, walls and systems
2-Do all the work in less than two months
3-Minimize the budget by reducing construction work to a minimum
4-Keep the large folding doors and the wood and brass panel in the living room
5-Reuse all the furnishings and lamps present in the previous home by integrating them with the new ones

Project style: vintage, with designer furnishings
Colors used: peacock blue, yellow ocher, beige
Materials used on the floor: heat-treated bamboo strand wooden parquet laid in a row
Wall decorations/coverings: smooth resin, wall covering in three-dimensional ceramic kitchen

“Goodies” of the project:
1-The large full-height fabric folding doors recovered with great study and effort
2-The brass and wood wall/screen that matches perfectly with the new parquet selected for the floors throughout the house
3-The use of three-dimensional tiles as kitchen splashbacks which makes the walls vibrant
4-The kitchen that seems completely new and instead is the perfect mix between modules from the old
kitchen and new modules. The peacock blue color used for the laminate of the kitchen worktop reflects the color of the tiles and recalls the colors of the carpet that had been present in the home since the 1960s

The large apartment had only one bathroom before the renovations. Today, for an apartment with such a generous size inhabited by four people, a single toilet is not enough, for this reason the old kitchen (which was in the sleeping area) has been transformed into a large bathroom. The significant distance from the single drain column forced us to use a sanitrit but the benefits of this choice were many because without sacrificing a bedroom and without structural works we were able to realize the customers' dream while staying within the budget.

Another non-structural modification was to transform a room from a study into a bedroom. To do this it was sufficient to move the door to a more sheltered position, i.e. in the hallway in the sleeping area instead of having it directly overlook the living room as it was before. The living room remained unchanged, it was very difficult to have to maintain the mirrored wall of the entrance and the fabric bellows by changing the floor due to a question of levels and the existing mismatch between the ceiling and floors. Despite this, the systems have been renewed and integrated and the coverings have all been replaced. The floor is a solid bamboo parquet, heat-treated, extremely resistant to wear and humidity. FUN FACT, not too "fun": a few days after installing the parquet, an old ceiling pipe on the floor below broke and the bathroom was completely flooded for a week... result? Nobody! Fortunately, the bamboo did not cure this inconveninenet in the slightest and everything remained in place without damage!

Despite the challenge of having to complete all the work in less than two months (a challenge accepted and completed positively), the work was successful and the results are visible to everyone from the photos.
